Saturday, June 11, 2016 will be another milestone in the life of RACERS TRACK CLUB and RACERS SPORTS MANAGEMENT LIMITED, with the inaugural staging of the RACERS GRAND PRIX IAAF Area Permit meeting. This will take place at the National Stadium in Jamaica’s capital city, Kingston.

The meet will showcase the best of Jamaica’s athletes along with a cast of several Olympic and World Champions and other world rated athletes from across the world. Plans are in place for the meet to be a well-choreographed event, creating a grand spectacle with exciting competitions at a very high standard.
The Racers Grand Prix was born out of the vision of the North and Central America and the Caribbean Region (NACAC), to develop its own circuit of International Athletic meetings. The region is the most powerful in the athletic world and boasts a large number of World Best athletes in Track and Field. The advent of a NACAC professional circuit would bring enormous benefits to the further development of the athletes in the region, both competitively and financially. It would also further enhance the level of competitions viewed live by the region’s population.

The Racers Grand Prix will be another meet, to create the circuit needed in the region and hopes that the vision will expand across the other countries and gather the full support of the IAAF, its affiliate NACAC, the Commercial sector and the population of the countries in the region.

This event, is one that must not be missed by any avid Track and Field supporter and those whose best wishes are for our athletes to triumph at the Rio Olympics in August 2016. Come on out on Saturday, June 11, “Racers Grand Prix Day” and share in the electrifying excitement, as some of the world’s best athletes display their Pre-Olympic form.

We welcome your support.
